In early June we flew out to Portugal to film a video and a Red Star Rebels DVD to accompany the forthcoming CD. We started at 6am and jumped on the speedboat from Portugal to the neighbouring private island of Wiltshero, a huge Mountain top jutting out of the sea. The Island is completely uninhabited because of the rough seas surrounding and it can only be reached by weaving a speedboat through the rocky inlets. Back in the 1800's it was a popular pirate hideout and the island is surrounded by myth and folklore to this day. Fortunately our Captain for the day had started on the whiskey early so we decided to risk it, because of how good the location looked for the kind of shoot we wanted. We loaded the camera gear onto the bikes and together with our camera crew of three, spiralled our way up the mountain to the very peek. Blackie dangled off the cliff face to get some vital shots without any saftey gear, ropes or anything (by this time we were all completely steaming) and then we hunted around for a few other locations. By 8pm the 100 degree heat, combined with too much alcohol and no food caused us to bring a halt to the days filming which was fortunate because by then we weren't taking things too seriously (as you can see from some of the pictures) and the director had taken just about enough of trying to get us to do what he wanted. We were by then a complete shambles and had to wait until after midnight before the tide was right for us to leave Wiltshero for mainland Portugal. The video was shot over 5 days. Additional footage can be found on the forthcoming DVD.
